Governor – Eve Perry

My name is Eve Perry, I joined the Governing body as Staff Governor in September. I am the Class One teacher and joined the school in April 2011.

I have two young daughters and I enjoy spending family time with them and my husband, going for walks and bike rides. I also enjoy theatre, line dancing and zumba!

Governor – Barbara Messham

Barbara Messham

Revd Canon Barbara Messham Priest in Charge of Severnside Benefice, Associate Vicar of Tewkesbury Abbey and Canon Emeritus of Guildford Cathedral.

My role as Vice chair of Governors also includes being a member of the Ethos, Admissions and Grievance Committees. Before ordination I was a teacher of mathematics for 11-18 year olds and also enjoyed teaching hockey, tennis and athletics after school! I still enjoy sport and am an honorary vice president of the Apperley Cricket Club where you’ll find me on a Saturday afternoon when I don’t have weddings.

I am proud that we are a school that focusses on the whole child and incredibly proud of all the staff at the school who work so hard to ensure that each child reaches their full potential. All the governors are very approachable and here to be a critical friend to Mrs Neveu and would be pleased to hear from you if you have anything you’d like more information on. You can contact us through the school office.

Governor – Jim Burrows

I have been a Foundation Governor for a number of years representing the Church Council on the Governing body. I have worked in education for most of my life overseas, on an aid project, in Australia and in the UK. I have held senior positions in several schools and was formerly a Lecturer at an overseas university with responsibility for Training Head Teachers. I live in Lower Apperley and have had four children attend the school. On the Governing Body my particular responsibility is for the Curriculum, Personnel matters and Head Teacher’s appraisal.
